Levon Chilingirian holds esteemed positions as a Professor of Violin and Chamber Music Artist in Residence at the Royal Academy of Music in London, and as a Professor of Violin and Chamber Music at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
His expertise extends to conducting master classes at prestigious institutions like the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, the Royal Danish Conservatory in Copenhagen, the Manhattan School of Music in NYC, and the New England Conservatory in Boston.
Since its inception in 1971, the Chilingirian Quartet has maintained its status as a renowned string quartet, earning international acclaim. In addition to his quartet engagements, Chilingirian frequently performs as a soloist and collaborates with various chamber music partners. He has also served as a jury member in several international contests.
Acknowledging his outstanding contributions, Levon Chilingirian was honored with the Cobbett Medal and was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the Queen’s Honors List of January 2000.
